Twin brothers George and Gus Sahamis migrated from Greece to Canada in 1974, to pursue their dreams when they were just sixteen years of age. They brought with them a passion for quality and hospitality that started out as selling souvlakis and gyros to the local community and tourists in their hometown of Sparta, Greece. This became the benchmark of their success as they opened their first restaurant in 1982 in Abbotsford, turning a restaurant that was run down, into one of the most successful restaurants in Abbotsford. They continued opening successful restaurants in the Fraser Valley area. With two locations in Abbotsford and one in Chilliwack, Greek Islands Restaurants are known for their outstanding food quality, hospitality, professional service and atmosphere where people are treated like Greek Gods. Good food, good service...but gets busy at times for servers. Menu offers a variety of meals, including seafood and vegetarian options. Also good value, as most main meals include both soup and salad. The rice and potatoes are delicious, as is their tzatziki.

We went for lunch today. The choices are great. Our food was fantastic. They made one little mistake on our order(no onions), and there was onions on the order. We didn’t want to make a big deal so just took them out of the food. No big deal, easy to miss that in the kitchen. The waitress noticed the onions on the plate right away. She came and apologized and offered to make a new one. We said that was okay. They made us a complete brand new order of the same meal to take home, minus the onions. What amazing service, both by waitress and owners that also talked to us about it. Will definitely be back. The service and food were so great.
